FAQs

I'm new to Pilates. What should I expect in my first class at The Core Reformery?

Welcome to The Core Reformery! Our classes are designed to support you at every step of your Pilates journey. For your first class, you’ll join a small group led by our dedicated instructors who provide personalized guidance. You’ll start with foundational movements to help you connect with your body and understand the basics of Pilates. Our space is intimate and calming, and we focus on making sure you feel comfortable, whether it’s helping you set up the reformer or answering any questions you have. Just bring yourself, wear comfortable clothing, and don’t forget your grip socks – they’re required for all classes to keep you safe and steady during your workout. Enjoy your session!

I'm a first timer. Which class should I go for?

For clients who are beginners and have no Pilates experience, we’d recommend a private solo to get you familiarised with the Pilates method, equipments and repertoire. Alternatively, you may join the ‘Align’ group class to get you started on a reformer.

How can I book a class?

You can book classes directly through The Core Reformery app or on our website. Group classes can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance, while private sessions can be booked up to 3 weeks ahead. Just make sure to reserve your spot at least 2 hours before class time, as that’s when the booking window closes.

How early should I arrive before my class?

We recommend arriving about 5 minutes before your class begins. This allows you time to settle in without disrupting ongoing sessions, helping us maintain a calm and focused environment for everyone. Our instructors will be ready to greet you and address any questions as your class time approaches.

What should I wear, and do I need to bring anything?

Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows you to move freely. Grip socks are required in the studio for safety and hygiene. If you don’t have any, we have some available for purchase at $28 each. Towel is optional. You can bring along a water bottle too if you need it. Apart from that, you don’t need to bring anything specific – we provide all the equipment and props you’ll need.

What are off-peak hours?

Off-peak group classes are available Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM, excluding public holidays. Classes are tagged with the words “Off Peak” in the description title.
